Designed for Ingo Maurer

Lacrime del Pescatore is far more than a chandelier. It is a luminous art piece designed to evoke emotion through light, materiality, and visual storytelling. Created by Ingo Maurer in 2009, the concept was inspired by fishing nets covered with droplets of water reflecting the early morning sunlight in the Venetian lagoon.

The composition features three nylon nets in different sizes adorned with 385 crystals that catch and refract light, producing shimmering reflections and a captivating sense of movement. The light source is mounted separately on the wall, creating a unique illumination effect that enhances the sculptural character of the installation.

Perfect for luxury residences, hospitality projects, boutique hotels, restaurants, and prestigious commercial spaces, this designer lighting solution introduces depth, atmosphere, and visual sophistication. When positioned correctly, the crystals interact beautifully with natural daylight, allowing the piece to remain visually striking even when not illuminated.

Combining artistic vision with technical innovation, Lacrime del Pescatore embodies Ingo Maurer’s celebrated approach to lighting design, transforming illumination into a poetic and unforgettable experience.

In the early 60s Ingo Maurer founded the studio in Monaco “Design M” kicking off the first projects of lamps. All in the name of irony and provocation. In many of his works is immediately evident the interest in everyday materials (plastic and aluminium) in favor of a simple and craftsmanship image. Cornerstones of his work are the mobility of the object and the emotionality of the product. The Ingo Maurer lamps are real games: essential forms that offer many possibilities of combinations.
