Turan, the latest collaboration between Illulian and designer Elena Cutolo, is a playful exploration of variable geometric shapes and deliberately childlike strokes. Deeply influenced by her work with Ettore Sottsass, Cutolo investigates the journey from a simple line to a curve, evolving into a complex design that animates a vibrant surface filled with stripes, dots, and triangles.
This rug is much more than a functional or decorative element, it’s a colorful labyrinth of bold, eccentric hues that actively engages with the surrounding space. The soft lines, abstract motifs, and irregular shape create an inviting and enveloping aesthetic, imbued with innocent humor and charm.
