Biplane Coffee Table by Cattelan Italia layers a glass upper surface above a marble-effect ceramic lower top to create a striking sense of depth and lightness. The clear or fumé glass contrasts with the Marmi ceramic, offered in finishes including Makalu, Breccia and Colosseo. An embossed titanium or black steel structure supports the two levels, complemented by brass details. Its balanced yet unexpected composition gives the living room a functional surface and a distinctive visual centre. As Italian designer furniture, Biplane pairs contemporary design with a carefully orchestrated mix of transparent, solid and metallic materials.
