During Milan Design Week 2026, Arclinea transformed its Via Durini showroom into an immersive reflection on the evolving language of domestic architecture, presenting Kora, the newest kitchen concept designed by Antonio Citterio. Conceived as a fluid landscape, Kora introduced curves as the defining gesture of the collection, shifting the focus from rigid geometry toward a more sensual and architectural interpretation of convivial living.
At the heart of the presentation stood a sculptural island whose rounded silhouette appeared to move through space with quiet elegance. The project explored continuity in both form and material, allowing marble, steel, wood and reflective surfaces to flow seamlessly across worktops, doors and side panels. The island became an architectural presence that shaped the atmosphere around it, reinforcing Arclinea’s long standing commitment to redefining the kitchen as the emotional center of the contemporary home.
Citterio’s vision for Kora extended beyond aesthetics into a deeper meditation on movement and spatial freedom. The absence of orthogonal constraints created a softer and more intuitive relationship between people and environment, encouraging circulation, interaction and shared rituals. The designer described the project as emerging from a “generative space of possibilities,” an idea rooted in architectural theory and translated here into a kitchen conceived as both
functional infrastructure and living sculpture.
The installation also unveiled a family of complementary tables including Folia, Vesper, Orbita and Lapis, each echoing the rounded geometries introduced by Kora. Marble and wood were treated with exceptional refinement, revealing artisanal craftsmanship through chamfered profiles, monolithic forms and continuous surfaces. Together, these pieces dissolved the traditional boundaries between kitchen and dining room, creating a unified environment where preparation, conversation and entertaining coexist with effortless sophistication.
Technology played an equally important role within the presentation. Arclinea introduced Teca, the latest evolution of its integrated wine preservation system, combining advanced connectivity and silent performance with interiors finished in steel and walnut. Accompanied by coordinated storage elements and bar cabinets, the system elevated the ritual of wine tasting into a curated domestic experience. The inclusion of premium appliance partners such as Miele and Gaggenau further reinforced the showroom’s dialogue between craftsmanship and luxury living.
