Bhuri, meaning “earth” in Pāli, is a refined collection of designer carpets by Satyendra Pakhalé, inspired by nature and its fundamental elements: water, air, and earth. Each design originates from unique watercolors painted by the designer on handmade cotton rag paper using a single brush, a method reminiscent of the Sumi-e tradition, balancing spontaneity and intention.
Crafted in luxurious viscose and available in red, blue, and grey, Bhuri carpets transform expressive brushstrokes into vibrant, poetic textile surfaces, merging artisanal tradition with conceptual innovation and bringing elegance and sophistication to contemporary interiors.
