A new expression of Italian design within one of America's most influential design destinations

Located in the heart of Chicago's renowned design district, the new destination expands a longstanding relationship between two companies united by a shared commitment to craftsmanship, materiality and contemporary living.
The dedicated space has been conceived as an immersive environment where furniture, lighting and materials come together to communicate the essence of the HENGE universe. The project unfolds as a complete interior experience, allowing visitors to engage with the brand's approach to living through atmosphere, texture and spatial composition.
Defined by a palette of natural stones, burnished metals and richly tactile surfaces, the environment reflects the material sensitivity that has become synonymous with HENGE. Iconic pieces including the Downtown sofa, Oxymoron table, Gattopardo seating system and Spectre bookshelf contribute to a setting that balances sculptural presence with a sense of intimacy, creating spaces that feel both refined and deeply personal.
Opened in occasion of NeoCon 2026, during the week, Interni Luminaire and HENGE welcomed architects, designers, industry partners and clients to discover the new space through a private evening event that celebrated the collaboration and offered an immersive introduction to the HENGE universe.
Set within Luminaire's Chicago destination, on June 9th the space provided the backdrop for conversations around design, craftsmanship and material innovation. Guests were invited to experience the collections in a setting conceived to reflect the brand's distinctive aesthetic language, where natural stones, burnished metals and richly textured surfaces create an atmosphere of
understated sophistication.
The occasion highlighted the shared vision that unites Interni, Luminaire and HENGE: a commitment to creating meaningful design experiences that extend beyond the traditional showroom model. More than the unveiling of a new space, the event marked the beginning of a new chapter for the partnership in North America, reinforcing Chicago's role as a key destination for contemporary design and cultural exchange.
