The Random 2C Bookcase evolves the iconic Random concept with a two-sided composition that enhances its architectural presence. Characterised by irregularly arranged shelves, it introduces rhythm and dynamism into the structure, transforming storage into a sculptural design statement.
Created by Neuland Industriedesign for mdf italia, Random became a bestseller and was selected in 2006 for the prestigious Compasso d'Oro ADI. With Random 2C, the concept expands further, offering greater compositional flexibility and visual impact.
Among the first bookcases conceived to display rather than conceal objects, Random redefined the way storage interacts with living spaces. Books, personal collections, and travel souvenirs find their place within its geometric grid, creating a dynamic composition that reflects the individuality of its owner.
More than a functional container, Random 2C is a modular design sculpture, a refined and contemporary way of living with and interpreting the bookcase.

Details & finishing
Finish: White matte lacquer Structure: 6 mm medium-density fiberboard (MDF) panels with matte lacquer finish. Back panel in 10 mm melamine-faced board. Shelves are integrated into the side panels through concealed dovetail joints. Predefined storage compartments. Feet: Adjustable feet up to 15 mm. Safety note: Wall anchoring is always recommended for safety reasons. Horizontal connection between bookcases is not recommended.
