Each of these large Marianne vases is a unique work of design, a true example of the art of blown glass. The blowing process takes place in a free and open mold, composed of steel lamellae. Depending on the force of the blow, the molten glass is pushed between the lamellae with a different movement, and the shape of the resulting vase is always slightly, but perceptibly, different. The milk white finish of the Marianne vase is achieved by combining a layer of white glass with transparent glass in the crucible.

The mould used is made out of steel blades. Depending on the blowing force, the glass will take on slightly different shapes each time since it is pushed in different ways between the blade
