The Tonietta chair is a successful example of a product born from a close and fruitful collaboration between the company and the designer. Initiated in 1981, the Tonietta project concludes in 1985 after intense engineering research was required to use the costly and until then little-experimented technology of aluminum die-casting for the structure of a domestic chair. In 1987, the Tonietta chair wins the prestigious Compasso d'Oro Award.
