699 Superleggera

699 Superleggera designed by Gio Ponti in 1957 for Cassina is the “first” to express a moment of great transformation, made possible by the collaboration between the architect and Cassina’s workers. It was a real challenge to make the triangular section of the legs as small as possible according to the essential construction needs. A section that “it’s visually thinning the shape, making it expressive”, said Ponti. Superleggera is available in the following versions: structure in Natural Ash or White or Black lacquered with seat in Rattan; structure in Natural Ash, White or Black open pore with padded seat and Fabric or Leather upholstery; structure in two-tone lacquered White or Black Ash with padded seat and White Leather or Graphite Leather upholstery.
