Frank Boschman and Kris Van Puyvelde met the first time in University, while studying to become engineers in Anverse, Belgium. Years later, in 1992, they met again, both with the desire to start their own business.
Together they wanted to start importing outdoor furniture in teak wood from Indonesia, but soon realized that the products were poor in quality and were manufactured only in colonial style.
They decided to create better designs and raise the quality of the furniture. Within days, the company was born and named Royal Botania, an allusion to both the natural beauty of lush botanical gardens and the supreme luxury furniture they were about to create.
Soon, the company has become internationally known and synonymous of quality and luxury design worldwide.
This success has opened the way to new collections of furniture and outdoor lighting as well as bathroom furniture.
In line with the growth of the team, new materials such as stainless steel, aluminum and synthetic fibers were introduced.
