Outdoor furniture: what can’t be missed to create an exclusive space?

Never before has so much importance been given to the care and attention to detail of outdoor design furniture; to date, in fact, the Outdoor Design has become one of the driving forces in the furniture market, so much so that outdoor design is now considered on a par with interior design. The attention paid to this sector has meant that a lot of investment has been made in research and development; this has led to the creation of a wide range of products and solutions that allow the consumer and the designer to range with the mind and satisfy all types of needs and requirements.

The 2019 Outdoor trend has led to the breaking down of barriers between indoor and outdoor. The garden is seen as an extension of the house and the outdoor space as an integration of the “Living Room”. Outdoors that transform and become more and more to be lived and shared with relatives and friends. Owners and guests can therefore enjoy unique moments in a dreamlike outdoor setting.

The best materials for a trendy outdoor furniture

There are various materials, natural or not, that are suited to outdoor use thanks to their characteristics of durability and resistance to atmospheric agents that allow them not to wear out over time and to maintain those quality standards that make them such. Natural materials such as heat-treated wood, teak, wicker, rope and natural fabrics are flanked by technical materials such as painted metals, cements, resins, latest generation plastics and technical fibres.  Obviously, the materials that can be used outdoors differ between materials for floors/walls and materials used to compose and/or cover the furniture. The continuous research of new materials, also in the scientific field, has allowed and still allows to go further and further and to propose more and more varied and performing solutions to ensure a final result of great value.

Uniquely designed outdoor tables

One of the undisputed protagonists of outdoor design is the table. The reason that makes it so important and puts it at the heart of most outdoor projects is very simple: conviviality. Cooking in the garden and inviting friends to spend lunches and dinners together has become a tradition that you do not want to give up. The range of tables for outdoor design is currently very wide: from fixed to extendable tables, from those made entirely of wood to those made entirely of painted metal, from tables that combine wood with metal to those with tops made of ceramic. In short, many possibilities to make the outdoor space even more unique. There are also tables made of the finest materials on the market, the so-called prestigious tables, which differ from the others as they consist of marble tops or natural stones of a certain value. Thanks to these precious materials, luxury outdoor tables are obviously able to differentiate and carve out their own niche of the market where even the most demanding customers can get the highest quality environments.

Design chairs for outdoor: luxury and quality in a seat

Another key element with a strong aesthetic impact within an Outdoor project is the chair. Today there are many models of outdoor chairs and they have very different characteristics, differing especially for the different materials that compose them. From the natural to the more technical ones, from eco-sustainable materials to the more classic ones, chairs are no longer defined as simple “garden chairs” because most of the models proposed by the leading companies in the sector are elements that can be used both outdoor and indoor. The outdoors, therefore, blend with the indoors creating a whole capable of ensuring a certain continuity, especially aesthetic, between the garden and the interior spaces of the house.

Comfort is a fundamental part of any seat. Aesthetics obviously do their part but they are nothing without a good level of comfort; comfort that is guaranteed both by the new technologies with which the materials of the structure are processed and by the type of padding that, especially in recent years, are made with high-performance foams. The cushions of the outdoor chairs are then covered with natural materials such as jute, linen, cotton for a garden increasingly inclined and attentive to environmental sustainability, one of the hottest themes of this period.
