Now reissued by Carl Hansen & Søn in partnership with Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects, this chair brings timeless elegance and functionality to modern interiors. First designed in the 1950s, the VLA26P embodies the clean lines and minimalist aesthetic that define Lauritzen’s work, while incorporating subtle details that enhance both comfort and character.
Crafted with a blend of wood and steel, the VLA26P Chair features a curved backrest that gently supports the sitter, ensuring a comfortable seating experience. For added luxury, optional upholstery can be applied to both the seat and back, enhancing comfort while maintaining the chair’s sleek profile. The chair’s wooden feet further accentuate its artisanal craftsmanship, offering a refined touch that balances the industrial steel frame.

Carl Hansen & Søn was established in 1908 by cabinetmaker Carl Hansen. Carl Hansen & Søn’s passion for producing high-end designer furniture is rooted in more than a century of craftsmanship traditions. In 1934 Carl Hansen, handed over the reins of Carl Hansen & Søn, to his son Holger Hansen. This also announced a new era for the company, where focus shifted towards cooperation with some of the most talented designers in Denmark.
