Just walk through the door and the mood of this house immediately reveals itself: evocative, eclectic and precious. We are at the entrance and that’s just the prelude to many fragments of personality that create the artistic and spectacular style of this abode. We are dealing with the makeover of an Art Noveau penthouse, masterfully carried out by Interni’s team, perfectly matching its coherence with the owner’s good taste – a single really into art-. And art is literally everywhere. In addition to art masterpieces, the leitmotiv follows a personal and recurring logic that turns colors, furniture selection and that chased style itself into a micro world that preserves the inescapable originality that belongs to a work of art. The maestry of the intervention focused – first and foremost – on the preservative issue of the original flooring, since its layout could have been damaged during the removal and the relocation phases of some partition walls. This work looked apparently simple but actually it was complicated, anyway it has been skillfully and efficiently managed. Now, the result donates a conspicuous stage appearance to the ornamental background that communicates with every room in a different way, by means of colours and shapes typical of that period. The reduction of high ceilings allowed optimising new installations without working on the parts that had to be conserved. Indoor windows and doors have been restored and preserved while shutters have been replaced and electrified.
From the quadrilateral entrance – similar to a chic lobby -, several rooms open up: small treasure chests filled with attention to detail and feelings. Each piece has a name and a history, each piece becomes part of the daily life of those who live them. So big is the strenght of this habitat that everything that looks like off limits due to its quality and value becomes livable and alive in a natural and spontaneous way; active and performing means to taste art at any time. I watch, I touch, I taste and I live. Every single day.
