EMU D&S Lab

The architectural project "Lo Spazio" by Andrea Pascucci stands as an example of innovative design and energy efficiency, spanning an area of 1000 square meters with an A-class energy rating. Characterized by a linear and modern architecture, this space is designed to simulate various environments, both residential and communal, such as living rooms, relaxation areas, verandas, and outdoor spaces. The reinforced concrete structure not only ensures solidity but also seamlessly integrates into the context of the brand's existing plant, which extends over 100,000 square meters, with 50,000 of them covered.

A key connection between the new building and the adjacent office block is the expanded metal cladding, a "second skin" that evokes the historical materials of EMU's production, symbolizing a bridge between tradition and innovation. The Design & Simulation Centre goes beyond showcasing the brand's products; it offers an immersive experience, allowing customers to realistically visualize the furniture integrated into the settings for which they are designed, both indoors and outdoors.

The centre also aims to become a hub for research and development, where technicians and designers can collaborate on the evolution of processes and products. Additionally, EMU fosters the development of new talent by collaborating with universities and design centres. The facility includes spaces dedicated to interns and research labs, encouraging the exchange between young professionals and a company that promotes the Italian culture of outdoor living on an international scale.

This ambitious project represents the perfect synthesis of aesthetics and functionality, with the goal of inspiring comprehensive and innovative outdoor furniture solutions.
