Jamie Durie

Jamie Durie, an internationally acclaimed designer and author, founded his design studio, Durie Design, in 1998. Over the past 16 years, Durie and his team have earned over 33 international design awards. His most recent accolade came in May 2014 when he received the New York Design Award for the Tubular Dining Chair, a design he created for RIVA 1920.

Originally focused on landscape architecture, Durie Design has evolved into a multidisciplinary studio, working across architecture, interior design, landscape design, and furniture design—Durie’s true passion. The studio is known for creating seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor environments, a philosophy Durie coined as "transterior." His design ethos focuses on bringing the outdoors inside and enhancing the connection to nature through carefully crafted, nature-inspired furniture and spaces. Durie's work continues to redefine modern living by harmonizing natural elements with sophisticated design.
