Artur De Menezes

Artur de Menezes is a Brazilian industrial designer based in Barcelona, renowned for his innovative approach to furniture and object design. Currently serving as the Product Design Director at the esteemed Six N. Five studio, he has led numerous projects that blend conceptual thinking with cutting-edge digital techniques. 

Menezes holds a Master's degree in Design Through New Materials from ELISAVA, the School of Design and Engineering in Barcelona. This academic background has deepened his understanding of materiality, enabling him to explore the latest materials and technologies in the industry. 

His work spans the global furniture industry, with designs featured in collaborations with brands such as the UK-based MADE.com, Italy's MOHD, Germany's OUT Objekt Unserer Tage, and Brazilian companies like América Móveis, Carbono, and Decameron. Menezes is also active in speculative digital design, collaborating with studios, design galleries, and artists worldwide to push the boundaries of design. 

In his personal design practice, Menezes creates experimental collections that challenge conventional notions of beauty and functionality. Notable projects include "Sugar Pill," which questions the emotional and functional aspects of furniture, and "Coherence," which embraces the beauty of imperfection through asymmetrical and unconventional designs. These works reflect his commitment to exploring new possibilities in design while retaining a deep passion for creating meaningful objects.
